Josef Mengele was a Nazi doctor that did several experiments during the war. Josef Mengele did most of his experiments at Auschwitz concentration camp. During his time at this camp, he studied twin hereditary to see how they were produce and then increase the rate for Aryan birth. He mostly studied on children. Most of his experiments were unscientific and he didn't care about the health and safety of the patients. Mengele's research victims were treated better than other prisoners at the concentration camp and was introduced by him as “ uncle Mengele”. He gave them candy and clothes but sooner or later they were going to be thrown into the gas chamber or the cermorty. Different experiments were done on the children like blood transfusion, eye injection, shots and diseases, and surgeries.
Josef Mengele's nickname was “Angel of Death”. Mengele was the chief of the gas chamber and the crematoria. He was so bad that when a whole cell block of women got lice, Mengele solved this by gassing 750 women. The reason why Mengele injected chemicals into children to change their eye color. One project that he did was that he sewed two gypsy children to make conjoined twins. The twins later died of gangrene. It is thought that 3,000 twins were operated and thousands more died. When the Russian army advanced in German territory, Mengele ran away and fled to South America. In South America he first lived in Argentina but a former Nazi got caught and was sent to exile so after he left Argentina he went to Paraguay, he finally moved Brazil where he basically made a town with a high rate of twins that have blonde hair and blue eyes.
